A hide-away property at the water’s edge
- Two houses
- Private pond (5000m2)
- No immediate neighbors
- Lift
- Close to all facilities
A 1 km scenic country road leads you to this haven of peace with panoramic views over the extensive waters.
The property has two lovely houses.
The main one (160m2 ) is the mill-house with a lift giving access to three levels. The 1st floor opens onto a large living/dining room with an open kitchen with its wooden floorboards and traditional stone fireplace. On this floor there is a second room, which can be used as a study or spare bedroom, and a bathroom with a toilet. Next to the lift a staircase takes you to two cozy bedrooms with chalet-style sloping ceilings, including one suite with a shower, a double wash-basin and toilets. The 52 m2 ground-floor opens onto a terrace with a view on the river crossing the land. It is made up of two areas, one of which contains the antiquated ruins of the old mill.
The second house, or "guest house", is 65m2. It also opens onto a living/dining room with an open kitchen, then onto a bedroom and a lovely shower room with WC. A staircase leads up to two bedrooms with a beautiful view over the pond.
The property also has a woodshed, a traditional stone bread-oven, and a third building - a small mill - which needs renovation (subject to necessary permissions).
This green oasis is only 15 minutes from Aubusson and Felletin, two historic towns with schools, bars, restaurants, cinema, and the Cité internationale de la tapisserie (exhibiting J.R.R. Tolkien and Hayao Miyazaki inspired tapestries amongst many other important works of textile art).
It is also 30 minutes from the lake of Vassivière, which offers many activities including sailing, water skiing, and sunbathing.

Discuss an Offer
If this or other properties are of potential serious interest, you may wish to speak in confidence and without obligation or commitment with a sympathetic senior negotiator to discuss what flexibility there may be in the price.
Getting the right deal can be a question of good timing and we have that information.
Whatever you read in the press, it is simply not true that one can apply a percentage discount to the price of any property we like the look of. And it is a real shame to fall in love with a property that is beyond what you wish to spend or can afford.
