Finance Assistant - Bilingual (French/English)
Gironde | Hybrid working
This is a newly created salaried position, reporting to the Finance Director, you will play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations of the business and work closely with internal teams and external partners, both in France and internationally.

Your Role
As a Finance Assistant, you will support the Finance Department in the day-to-day management of the company’s financial operations, across accounting, reporting, payroll preparation and administrative tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Processing supplier and client invoices in French and English
- Managing payments, receipts and international bank transactions
- Monitoring cash flow, outstanding payments and performing bank reconciliations
- Preparing payroll variables and supporting salary payments in coordination with HR and the external accounting firm
- Reviewing employee expense claims
- Calculating sales commissions
- Liaising with internal teams, clients, suppliers and external partners in a bilingual environment
- Contributing to process improvements and providing general administrative support to the Finance Department
About You
Education & Experience
- Bac +2/3 qualification in accounting, finance, or management (BTS, DUT, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent)
- Initial experience in accounting (role or internship) is an advantage
Skills
- Strong command of Excel and Word or Google Suite
- Familiarity with accounting software such as ACD, Sage or Cegid
- Solid understanding of French accounting and tax principles
- Fluent in both French and English, written and spoken

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
