Local events for October Rose

October Rose has become an annual event in France.  Many activities and events are organised to raise awareness of breast cancer.  From decorating town halls with pink umbrellas, to sponsored walks, to forums giving information and testing advice.  It is a great way to raise awareness of such an important cause.

The Ruffec, Verteuil and Charroux teams joined together on Sunday to do a sponsored walk for October Rose.  Walking 8.5km from the Verteuil office to the Ruffec office, the teams dressed in pink, brought along friends, family and pets.  With blue skies and stunning countryside, and meeting many locals along the way, the teams raised money and spoke about this important charity.  Rachida Low from the Ruffec office said ‘It was a great afternoon, and we appreciate everyone who came along.  We’d like to get more people involved next year to keep raising awareness.”
