From the 14th March, masks will no longer be required in most public spaces in France, including cafes, bars, restaurants and tourist attractions. They will also no longer be mandatory in enclosed spaces such as offices and schools. However, they will still remain compulsory on public transport, at stations,  airports and in medical/care establishments.

The requirement to show the French covid vaccination certificate will also be lifted in most situations. This will be good news for Brits who up until now have had the headache of exchanging their UK proof of vaccination to get the French certificate and QR code.

You will still need to show a recent negative result to visit places with vulnerable people such as care homes and hospitals, but it won’t need to be the official vaccination certificate as before.

The entry rules from the UK to France will remain the same. If you are fully vaccinated you can freely enter. If you are not fully vaccinated you will need to have an essential reason for travel. You can find more detail here on the French Consulate website.
