It is far away from the coast to not be a seasonal place and, although busy in the summer it is not unbearable. The climate is on the edge of the Mediterranean and Atlantic, enjoying hot summers and mild winters but with a green, lush and undulating landscape rather than flat and arid.
You are also in the heart of Cathar country being within easy reach of all the major Cathar tourist destinations - such as the Chateaux of Puivert, Puilaurens, Peyrepetuse and Queribus as well as the UNESCO World Heritage site of Carcassonne just 50 minutes away.
