The nearest village of La Salvetat-Peyralès is only a 5 minute drive from the property. It provides a mini supermarket, bakery, butchers, pharmacy, medical centre, garage, petrol station, garden centre, bar/restaurant, monthly market, regular social activities/clubs and local events at the village hall. There are also a number of organic food suppliers and camp-sites nearby. The larger town of Rieupeyroux is a 10 minute drive with further amenities.

The River Viaur which is a popular place for swimming, kayaking, fishing, walking and BBQs is only 5 minutes away. Within 30 minutes there are a number of recognised Beaux Villages de France and various places to visit such as Albi with its daily summer markets.

Rodez airport is approx. 40 minutes drive and is served by RyanAir flights from the UK between June and October. There are also flights to Paris, Dublin and Brussels. Toulouse Airport is a 90 minute drive with numerous daily flight to the UK.
