Fenouillet: Country retreat in a magical setting
- Detached stone property
- 3 bedrooms
- Renovated
- Easy to maintain garden
- Extra parcels of land included
Fenouillet is situated in the amazingly beautiful Fenouillèdes valley which leads out towards the coast at Perpignan and on towards the Spanish border. The village is just 5 minutes away by car from the larger village of Caudies de Fenouillèdes where there is an épicerie and café/restaurant plus transport to both Quillan and Perpignan by bus. Le Petit Train Rouge, a touristic train which runs in the holiday months between Axat and Rivesaltes, also stops at Caudies de Fenouilledes.
The property, renovated in recent years, offers well thought accommodation. On the ground floor is a spacious living room with double windows to the garden and a woodburning stove as well as a separate practical fitted kitchen. Stairs to the first floor give onto a landing from which there are 3 bedrooms, one with en suite shower room and a bathroom.
Outside the pretty cottage stye garden provides various seating areas, sun and shade and a private access to the babbling brook which borders one side of the garden, ideal for taking a cooling dip. There is also a cellar under part of the house and a good-sized wooden shed for storage or for use as a workshop. On top of all this 2 non-attached parcels of land are included in the sale.
The area with its Mediterranean climate is known and loved for its spectacular scenery, proximity to both the coast and the ski stations and the numerous outdoor sporting opportunities, notably walking, cycling and wild swimming.
The nearest airport is less than an hour away in Perpignan and at one hour in the other direction is Carcassonne.

Discuss an Offer
If this or other properties are of potential serious interest, you may wish to speak in confidence and without obligation or commitment with a sympathetic senior negotiator to discuss what flexibility there may be in the price.
Getting the right deal can be a question of good timing and we have that information.
Whatever you read in the press, it is simply not true that one can apply a percentage discount to the price of any property we like the look of. And it is a real shame to fall in love with a property that is beyond what you wish to spend or can afford.
