A Place in the Sun on location!
How exciting to be approached by A Place in the Sun again, this time for the Carcassonne area!
It was a challenging brief: characterful property, 3 beds, 2 baths, garden for veggie plot, pool, close to a village or town, walking distance from restaurants, bars and shops, and within 30 minutes of Carcassonne.
The best properties in the area were put forward, followed by a last-minute scramble as the choice of properties to be filmed was decided the night before filming. That evening saw 2 very happy sets of vendors get the call to say filming was on!
The day of filming arrives. We meet the couple who are choosing between Wales and Carcassonne, an area they have never visited before. The film crew and producers were a delight, working on a knife-edge with last-minute planning and the Producer writing the script on the spot on the set. Ssssssh filming has started - please move out of the shot, this way, no, that way, no, over there! Phew, at least it’s not live and the shot with the council cleaning truck driving past just at the wrong moment can be scrapped!
Now we wait - Home, or Away? We know the decision - you’ll have to wait until the show is aired!!
