A moving story
Moving house is one thing but moving house to a different country that’s a whole different ball game! When my wife Sue and I decided we wanted a complete change of life Sue spent a year trawling the internet looking at hundreds of different areas and properties and we finally decided on South West France as an area. Next thing we needed was an estate agent!
Beaux Villages had a property that we really loved and it was our lucky day because the service we received was just fantastic! After a few emails with a lady called Judith, she had organized a 2 day viewing extravaganza looking at 7 properties. She even helped on flight and hotel information as we had never been to that area before; it felt more like a concierge service than an estate agent!

Judith’s husband, Kevin, also a BVI agent, took her place on the 2nd day of viewings as she was away with another client but wanted to fit in with our dates for travelling to France. They make a brilliant double act and it became a little competition as to who would find our dream home for us. Some things in life are just meant to be as we bought the house that we first fell in love with (one that Judith showed us..sorry Kevin), but more than that we became very close friends of not just Judith and Kevin but also Mick and Jayne from whom we bought the house.

As a thank you to both couples Sue and I wanted to take them all out for lunch one day at a local restaurant and we all enjoyed it so much that we now meet up every month at each other’s houses for a get together and enjoy all of what France is famous for good wine, great food and perfect company.
