As soon as I listened to the voice mail from my husband, Mick, who had recently had a viewing at our house in Lot et Garonne, I could sense the excitement in his voice! Judith Whitlow from Beaux Villages had arranged the viewing with a couple from the Manchester area, whom she had said were very keen to view our property, ..... and they loved it!!!! Could this be our buyers?

Judith had been very proactive in the marketing of our property, taking loads of photos and familiarising herself with the house and the surrounding areas. She was on a mission to find the right buyers for us!
Mr and Mrs Grimshaw (our prospective buyers) had returned home to Manchester to have a good long think about the prospect of buying our home. A nail biting time - we had a whole weekend to wait.
Monday came and so did the phone call from a very excited other half Mick: not only had they fallen in love with our house they had made us an offer of the full asking price! What more could we ask for?

As I had been in the UK visiting with family whilst all this had been going on I had not yet met Mr and Mrs Grimshaw, the opportunity came a few weeks later when they returned to France and were keen for another look around their future home. Well, we most certainly could not have wished for a nicer couple to buy our house, Judith had found our dream buyers!

As the weeks went by and all the usual arrangements were made (Fosse Septique inspection, termite and other nasty things inspection, consulting with Notaries etc) we saw more of Alan, Sue and their daughter Jenny and we were fast becoming good friends.
In the meantime, Judith was busy searching for a house for Jenny, as she to had fallen in love with France. A house in the next village was soon found so all was set for the family move to France.

Judith and her husband Kevin (who also works for Beaux Villages) had worked hard to make a dream come true for us all. Alan Sue and Jenny had their new homes in France and we were living our dream on our new venture a working farm just 20 kilometres away.
That's not the end our story folks! Judith, Kevin, Alan, Sue, Jenny and ourselves continue to meet, often for long leisurely lunches, good food and wine, and our friendship continues; what more could we ask for!
