A big thank you to Beaux Villages

Having sold up in the south of France we were prepared to bank our euros in France and wait out 2 years until Brexit was sorted.
And then we came to Montmorillon for 5 days relaxation and suddenly fell in love with the town. We decided to tentatively view a few properties just to get a feel of what was available and at what prices, but had no plans to buy at this time.
Beaux Villages was in fact the last agent we visited in the town (so 2 others had the opportunity to sell us the house we eventually bought, but hadn't taken the opportunity to show it to us).
Geraldine listened to what our requirements were and saw I was getting enthusiastic about one (outside the town) in the Beaux Villages window. Unfortunately, it was already under offer but she searched through her books and came up with a similar one that was in the town. We felt on first viewing it was perfect for us in so many ways. We are so grateful that Geraldine showed us the property. We are finding as each day passes more ways that this is the absolutely perfect house for us.
We did a second viewing 2 days later with Emma and just knew we had to make an offer (despite the Brexit uncertainty). Emma handled the offer negotiations for us and it was a tense period for us both, as we had a finite budget of euros available from the sale of our property. She did a superb job and concluded the negotiations well within our budget, and even took the time to call us on Easter Sunday to tell us the good news.
The period that follows the offer being accepted to completion is always difficult, but Emma was always available to smoothly facilitate the process to its' conclusion. Again, we are so grateful to have the ongoing support and even after we had moved in, Emma supported us in getting the utilities sorted.
You hear so many stories about the hit and miss experiences of working with estate agents in France, but we have had both an excellent experience when we sold, and an excellent experience when we bought again.
