The Poitou-Charentes cycle race is back this week!

The Charente is delighted to welcome back the 36th edition of the “Tour Poitou-Charentes” cycle race this week. Starting in Chauray in the Deux-Sévres on Tuesday and finishing in Poitiers on Friday, cyclists will cover 668km of ground, all the while taking in the beauty of the area’s landscape.

Passing through local towns and villages, spectators will have the chance to follow the route and cheer on competitors. On Friday, cyclists will pass through the stunning village of Verteuil-sur-Charente at 11.58am and then Ruffec at 12.04. Why not come and join our local offices there, who will be cheering them on and showing their support!
