Verteuil-sur-Charente becomes a ‘Petite Cité de Caractère’

We’re thrilled that the lovely Verteuil has been awarded membership of the prestigious ‘Petites Cités de Caractère’ association. Stephanie Bessant who works out of BVI’s Verteuil office says: 

‘We have been waiting for this for 8 years. Finally the work of our municipal team has made it possible to obtain the prestigious label of ‘Petite Cité de Caractère’ - getting our beautiful village the national recognition it deserves!’

Sitting on the banks of the river Charente and dominated by a magnificent turreted chateau, Verteuil really does feel like somewhere out of a fairytale.
