Visit Bergerac in the Dordogne

Situated in the heart of the Perigord region, Bergerac is a town rich in history and culture situated on the Dordogne river.  With a beautiful old town, a variety of restaurants where you can try the local specialities and a weekly market on Wednesdays and Saturdays there is plenty to do in the area.  From exploring the mediaeval houses of the old town to visiting the statue of Cyrano de Bergerac, or from taking a scenic boat trip on the Dordogne river to sampling the local wines of the area at the Maisons des Vins in Bergerac, there is something for everyone.

The Sunday Times recently recognised Bergerac as being an interesting place for a weekend break and with flights from ten different UK airports including London Stansted, East Midlands, Manchester and Edinburgh, the town is well connected.  British Airways are even extending their flights to Bergerac from Southampton and London City airport over the winter, with flights running once a week from 16th December to 6th January.

If you’re looking for a holiday home or a permanent move around the Bergerac area, why not pop in and see us at our local agency situated between departures and arrivals at Bergerac airport, and one of our colleagues would be delighted to talk through your property plans.
